Hi Sasa,

You really don't need to shutdown watchdog. But if you insist in doing so, you should unload "wd1100" watchdog driver, or remove wd1100 line in /etc/modules and reboot. If possible, please stress test 2.6.15_2.0-10 kernel which is available at:

http://www.voyage.hk/dists/unstable/kernel/kernel-image-2.6.15-486-voyage_2.0-10_i386.deb

This kernel should be stable enough for high traffic load. I also invite all list users to test as this will be the kernel for 0.2 release.

This is on a WRAP box, 266MHz, with 128 mb of ram

I can't really experiment now since there's few users connected... a once
tryed to shutdown watchdog, that resulted in system reboot... again.
Is there a way to shut it down ? I don't really need it since i will
monitor everything with MRTG including cpu temperature, load, etc.

Sasa

Hi Sasa,

I encountered the similar issue in a few weeks when I conduct the
benchmark test. But the latest kernel (2.0-10) should be stable
enough for high volume transfer.

Hello,

I have an issue with (watchdog(i think))...
When i download something from DC (via AP with voyage linux) and load
increases AP reboots itself. When it boots i can see a line in dmesg
which
states "system was rebooted by watchdog" or similiar.
My watchdog.conf is a default file which comes with distribution and
every
minute or so i see watchdog[defunct] process, and then it dies.

Thanks,
Sasa
