Hello again Punky

Thanks for info about the sources of kernel.
Some more question. You wrote in the release notes of 0.5.2 that
incompatibility complains between wireless drivers and wireless tools is solved.
Nevertheless I have the following error on 0.5.2 I downloaded some time ago.

iwconfig output
Warning: Driver for device ath0 has been compiled with version 22
of Wireless Extension, while this program supports up to version 20.
Some things may be broken...

Do you have updated the same tar on the server with the same version after updating
0.5.2 or is 0.5.2 always the same version (which I hope) on the server?
I have the following packages installed:

wireless-tools 28-1 madwifi-modules-2.6.23-486-voyage 0.9.4~rc2-1+5.0-1
madwifi-tools 0.9.4~rc2+dfsg-1
wpasupplicant 0.5.5-2
hostapd 0.5.5-3.1 hostap-utils 0.4.0-1

So the driver seems to be compiled with an very old version.
Question: On the compile platform have you installed still the version 20 of /usr/include/linux/wireless.h
or /usr/include/wireless.h of orig debian etch installation?
For compiling the wireless stuff this file should be update to the same as the wireless tools which are compiled
I think (at least I did always this in the past)

And last question:
Do you have a respository for beta packages like new version of wireless-tools with madwifi and hostapd/wpa_supplicant?

Thanks and greetings

Beat
