I've made some great progress, but i'm still not there yet. Thanks to Punky, I now have Voyage-MPD installed. It took me days to get NFS working with my NAS, but now I can see the NAS and the folder that contain my music folders/files using the ls command. I was also able to get MPoD to connect to MPD, but that's where I still have a problem. MPD is not seeing the files. I follwed your Mini Setup Recipe and used the following command:
# ln -s /mnt/public/Music /var/lib/mpd/music/public Any way to check things to see where the problem is? Also my files on my NAS are located here: /mnt/HD_a2/Music/flac and this is what I used when I nounted the NAS. All my music is located in sub-directories under /mnt/HD_a2/Music/flac named after each album. For example /mnt/HD_a2/Music/flac/Charles_Mingus_-_Blues_&_Roots. The flac files are in the Charles_Mingus_-_Blues_&_Roots folder. Is this ok or do I have to do something else to see all of the directories under /mnt/HD_a2/Music/flac? If you choose 1 - format and create filesystem, the whole /dev/sda will be reformatted, Regards, Punky On 1/6/2011 3:49 AM, Jeff wrote: > Punky, > > The screen shows the following: > > Partitions information > Major Minor #blocks Name > 8 0 156290904 <tel:156290904> sda > 8 1 150280192 <tel:150280192> sda1 > 8 2 1 sda2 > 8 5 6007808 <tel:6007808> sda5 > 7 0 63160 loop0 > 7 1 63160 loop1 > > What do I enter to answer this question?
