Yes, I managed to connect. Actually I needed to install usb-modeswitch
and write two scripts: one with the connections parameters and another
one handling connection establishment. For some reason I cannot
understand, although I can connect, receive updates, use ftp etc., I
cannot ping other computers and neither can other computers ping me
(plus that the green light on the stick keeps flashing on and off
continuously).
Thanks for your feedback.

Kostas

Have you solved your problem?
I had such a modem working (ZTE MF110) on voyage-0.5 some time ago but
have to search how I did.
If you still have the problem send a note and I will search my old cf
flash with the installation!
Greetings

I am trying to get a 3G USB modem working in an ALIX.3d3 board with
Voyage Linux MPD 0.7. The modem is a ZTE MF110 and works perfectly in
common Linux distributions.
What steps should I follow? Until now I have found partial
instructions, instructions that involve a GUI or solutions to
specific problems but not a concrete set of instructions. Just to
mention that when I plug the modem it is recognized as a scsi usb
storage device and a scsi CD-ROM drive but no ttyUSB0 or ttyUSB1
appears as a device. Any point to start with?
