>Such statements like "can't Voyager cache the images as IFF because that

Having only recently managed to connect my Amiga to the net - I was asked by a a PC
owning workmate - "when are you going to get a PC Jim?"
Why? I asked him. I have no great interest in games. Wordsworth covers virtually all
the WP and mini DTP projects I ever do. StudioII give me top quality printing and
Miami, Yam and Voyager are giving me internet access, with my Amiga connecting to
Freeserve in an average of 18 seconds.
A few days later he returns to work and tells me that his PC is wrecked due to the
CIH(?) virus. He says,"Do you think you could have a search on the net to see what I'm
supposed to do to sort my machine :-)))))))))
I appreciate the point that several people are making, that we all have to upgrade to
try and keep the platform alive but the mere fact that I was able to connect to the
net using an Amiga has meant I have spent over 120 registering software that is so
easy to use and full of excellent back up from the authors personally, should
encourage others to have a second look at their Amiga gear lying there not being used
to it's full potential.
The bottom line is that my machine however humble it is, is doing everything I could
ask from it. I drive a Peugeot 306, not because it is the best car in the world, but
because IMHO it drives better than any other car in it's class. Im on my third model.
I hope when I purchase my next computer I'll still be as loyal to Voyager and the
Amiga.
Jim
