IMHO you can't beat Thor for newgroups. Yes it takes a bit of setting up but
once you've done it you have an excellent newsreader and a pretty good mail
program. (I prefer the look of Yam 2, but it's unstable on my system whereas
Thor has never crashed.) Give it a try for a month, you won't regret it.
