Thor is a "power user" reader. Much more than what the average web
"surfer" really needs or wants. It would be like recommending a
tractor-trailer semi -- can't beat it for hauling; 20,000 pounds
capacity, when all the person wants is a car with a little more space
for the groceries.

At my Amiga club, many think the Web /is/ the Internet. They don't
even know about the Usenet. The average PC user, I've discovered, is
even more ignorant of the newsgroups.

I favor a simple news reader for Voyager, but a little more
powerful than the original News: implementation. There are times I
would like to check in a newsgroup that I don't normally read, but
just don't want to mess subscribing to it through MD-II's Group
Manager for a one time only look-see.
