Using my normal Voyager settings of < Image Loading = none> <Cache Verify = once per session>, I was merrily browsing the VH1 website at http://vh1.com when my screen suddenly froze and went black. After doing a system reset, and now off-line, I went back into Voyager and found Cachebrowser's last entry was:- http://vh1.com/gobehindthemusic/images/bg_home.jpg Double-clicking (see Cachebrowser workaround posting) on this .jpg file produced a "jfif.datatype" requester stating:- *Unsupported JPEG process: SOF type 0xC2* Is this a Voyager problem/feature, or do I need to upgrade something e.g. my datatypes libraries? My only previous memorable crash was when I tried to load a massive site with approx 50+ .gif images. I recalled from previous postings that images are decoded internally(?), so I copied the .jpg file from Cachebrowser to RAM Disk and then selected it again with Open Local File ...and Voyager loaded it OK, although the image turned out to be a black & white and very odd-looking thing! Confusingly, when I then tried Viewtek (v2.1) on the offending .jpg file, still in RAM, it refused to display it. There was nothing wrong with Viewtek as it displayed other .jpg files in the cache listings. To eliminate the possibility of a low memory problem, or the jpeg being corrupted when the screen crashed, I deleted all the VH1 entries (and all the driftwood) from the cache listings and surfed directly to the .jpg file URL ..with the same result as above. Any suggestions as to why this happened would be greatly appreciated.
