Sad but true, at least Netscape version 4.05 didn't when I tested it a
few months ago on my homepage - same with AWeb 3.2 BTW.
The only way to make PNG graphics look the way they should with AWeb
and Netscape, was to change their "transparent" background colour to
the background colour used on the webpages.
