Just as long ? ya kidding ? If I was doing all this stuff on my own, I
would probably plan to release miami 1.0 for 2005 or so :)
Not trying to overestimate the task, but this kind of projects require a
very deep expertise and commitment in many different subjects (tens of rfc,
and of autodocs, thousand of lines of codes, litters of cofee.. ) 
not to mention time. afaik Holger is alone working on one of the most 
professionnal and complicated programs that exist on the amiga...
