That's not the reason, it's:

a) that we spent a lot of time embedding and working with CM.mcc, and time
is very limited, we have no time to drop it and work on a new bookmarks
system -> we have JS errors, Flash and countless other things to work on :)

b) I was saying that we probably wouldn't drop cm.mcc, but there is no
reason why someone else couldn't come up with something different, as a
plugin.

I wouldn't say it was 'universally unpopular' as CM regs have increased
since the V 3 pr.1 release. And, as I said, there are a couple of tweaks to
the next cm.mcc due within V 3 pr.2.

ie:

a) you can now import VNG, IB and AWeb bookmarks (and Netscape's afair)

b) the login requestor on startup is now gone
