Today I received my new monitor. (No more 1084S :-)
But when I tried v3pre5 on a multiscan productivity 256 color screen (with
VGAOnly on), the speed dropped down rapidly. While browsing through file://
only became horribly slow, surfing the internet became impossible, because
connecting to foreign hosts took so long, that the operation timed out
regularly. With 64 colors or a PAL screen with 256 colors everything is ok.
I know that the multiscan modes are slower than pal modes, but is it
possible that the computer is so busy with the display, that it cannot do
anything else (like receiving http data)? Do I have to buy a new processor
or a graphic card to use v on a screen with more than 50Hz? Or is it a bug
in v? Or what else?
