I agree. Matt Chaput made VERY nice icons, but the ones made by other people
are very ugly IMHO (talking about the "contribution/more-icons" drawer of OS3.5).
Regarding AWeb I must say, Aweb-II 3.3SE is still one of the ugliest
programs on earth.
BTW, the "StormWizard" GUIs (where ReAction comes from, I think) is also
very ugly. I think, good programmers should not bother creating user
interfaces (they'll fail). This should be done by good graphics designer (e.g. Matt
Chaput) ;)
