Hi Folks,
First a big congratulations to Olli and family on the birth of his
little baby daughter. I hope all is well there!! :)
Now on to a little bug in V - which I'm sure someone else at vapor can
find the time to look at now Olli (quite literally) has his hands full
:)
The RMB Menu Save and Save As... still have problems, in that they
don't. There are times when you can visit a site, rmb click and select
save (either for the HTML source, or images etc) and nothing happens.
Or, in the case of the save as, the file requester appears, you tell
it where you want it, and what to call it, and it goes away, may
briefly flash up the Download window, and when you check the file is
not there - it just didnt write it out.
I don't know what causes this, and it's not something that always
happens on the same place twice. But when it does happen, it can be
frustrating! I was trying to save a page that had confirmation
details of an order on it, but selecting both Save and Save As
resulted in nothing happening. In the end, I went through the cache
searching for it to keep a copy of it.
I am using V3.2.4 atm, with the latest MUI classes, plugins, image
decoders etc. This version still has an open window problem too,
whereby sites want to open a window with stuff in still cause V to
crash. The window is opened, but V hangs not long after. With 3.2.4
the crash wasn't quite so bad - in that it just caused V to hang, but
still allowed me to close the net connection down and reset, whereas
under 3.2 it takes the whole system down usually invalidating a
partition in the process.
