Well, it is scary to think about, but not surprising. People have
done that kind of thing for a long time. Stuff is stored right in
the midst of populated areas. There were PCBs stored in rusting
45 gallon drums right downtown in Vancouver. There were the same
kind of drums moved to Surrey, another highly populated area where
some people used ground water... and the drum leaked into the soil.
There were piles and piles of OLD ammunition stored on the army
base here in Vedder Crossing... and it was only removed after
someone blew the whistle.
This kind of thing happens all the time. If no one knows, it just
continues. It takes a momunental event like this to make people
pay attention. Sad but true.
Man is like that... :)))
