Aside from the fact that that was meant to be a JOKE, the material the
"black box" is made of is not really exceptionally heavy. However I do
think the passengers would not be too pleased with the dense, form fitting
styrofoam like substance that would surround them in this "black box"
airplane. ;)
The REAL question is why do they call it a "black box" when every one I
have ever worked on is bright orange? ;)
