Yes, the Shrew client does work with XTM on firewall. Make sure the XTM is the latest version because the prior versions had a problem generating the .vpn file
Use the XTM UI to generate the .vpn file (or, you can use the WSM if you have that installed) I have it working at two of my locations. -Greg -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 2:35 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [vpn-help] Connecting to Watchguard from Linux v2.1.7 I'm using the above version of the Linux client to connect a Watchguard client. I got it from the main Ubuntu repository. However, when ever I try to connect, the log window says: config loaded for site 'work-vpn.vpn' attached to key daemon ... peer configured iskamp proposal configured esp proposal configured client configured local id configured remote id configured pre-shared key configured bringing up tunnel ... negotiation timout occurred tunnel disabled detached from key daemon ... and then disconnects. I've tried disabled my local firewall, and even placing my local machine in my ADSL reuters DMZ, to no avail. Is the Shrew client know to work with a Watchguard device ? -- Tom Computers are Lego for grown ups. _______________________________________________ vpn-help mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shrew.net/mailman/listinfo/vpn-help _______________________________________________ vpn-help mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shrew.net/mailman/listinfo/vpn-help
