I have the window style for both Access Manager and VPN Connect to “Visible in System Tray only,” and all three options under VPN Connect checked.
· Launch VPN access manager · Connect to VPN profile <authenticate> · Connection succeeds and minimizes to system tray · VPN Access Manager window stays open in foreground until I close it, with no icon in taskbar; if minimized it also goes to system tray only It has behaved this way for as long as I can remember, but I never did use Shrew client on Windows XP. The rush to Shrew was when Cisco didn’t have a 64-bit VPN client during the early days of Windows 7.
