Hi Everyone, I've been having some problems with my VPN connection on and off for a couple months. Sometimes my connection is solid and I'm able to stay connected for a full day without interruption. That doesn't happen often though. Other times I'll be working fine and then all of a sudden my connection is dropped. Once it's dropped I usually can't regain access to my remote drives, even though sometimes my VPN can still be re-connected. When this happens I sign into my VPN, it says it's connected, but when I go to my remote drives, it shows as unavailable. When I go back to the VPN screen, it still shows it's connected for a few more minutes and then finally will disconnect itself. Typically the message I get is "Gateway is not responding".
Usually the fix for this is to restart my modem, which is an Arris TG3482G. I'll then have to re-start my computer, and I'm usually good to go again. This doesn't always work, and it's a bit frustrating to have to re-start everything so frequently. Has anyone else had anything similar go on and know how to fix it? My ISP hasn't been any help.
