depending on your 'need for speed' or desire for
stability, I'd suggest to make some tests with linux
software raid vs. hardware raid, and/or try to figure
optimal settings for the controller ...

well, only on debian the vservers dir goes to /var
on all other distros, it's /vservers :)

nope, nothing vserver related here, just keep in mind
that many guests will be I/O bound not CPU bound, so
it makes sense to optimize for I/O ...
