Hello James and Kenneth, sorry for the delay in responding; I was out of town last week. The .txt extension was simply so I could easily open it up in my text editor but I agree it's probably not the best. How about we just remove the extension altogether? Any reason to have one?

To answer your previous question James, no, svnadmin does not require the MD5 hashes to be present (I don't have the link handy but the specs for the dumpfile format listed it as optional). I guess it's a moot point right now anyway, since you determined the problem already...
