My command has redirection, I forgot to mention in the mail.
This does not give any message as you described, it just goes to
infinite loop.
What would be the cause?
1. Did you create the repository first? I.e. you ran the command:
svnadmin create /home/svnrepos
???
2. What does 'head -n 40 dumpfile.dat' show?
