"Set Insert" was the way it was working before, then it was changed to
requiring the user to click for inserting a widget. I have experienced the
same problem, and I had to switch expand on and off...
What about a right-click menu option in the widget tree that lists all
available widgets and you just select one for insertion ?
BTW can I make a request: don't be afraid to use the bug tracker on
SourceForge :-) For new features you could also use the feature
request manager. I like to have a record of bugs then we can do
regression testing later by looking at the closed bugs. Of course
the mailing list is great for ongoing discussions.
