I've been a Linux guy for years but have never messed around with any of the
boot CD stuff. This is going to be a learning thing for me for sure, so wish me
luck ;)
If I am unsucessful on my own (+misc support), I am afraid I am just going to
lean twards buying a few cisco 7900's. It is the proven reliability and support
that Cisco brings to the table.
*note* I am a CCNP so I am a little biast, also down 8 pints of Guinness ;p

Now I could be wrong in this whole email, so maybe one of the developers could
set me straight. But here goes.
You would be able to add various packages i.e. xorpsh, openssh, apache, etc to
your FedoraCore 6 install, but I don't believe there are any pre-configured
packages being Linux platform independent (although it could be somewhat easy i
theory for any app) for Vyatta.
My guess is you can add those packages, but will not have a dedicated package
to install Vyatta over top of an existing distribution of Linux. I believe the
Vyatta developers chose a Debian base for a reason more than personal
preference, but I haven't asked.
I figure I'd write an email and at least act like I'm actively participating,
well college papers suck the life and time outta you ... so I'll use that for
an excuse!
Awesome work to everyone ... this mailing list continually adds some knew
knowledge to my cache and gives me more of an edge to wean myself off of Cisco
before I enter a full time job using them. * Time to bust out those fake
Vyatta posters * :P
