Thanks all for your help, here are the answers: Install.log can be found at /root, but there are only the same messages printed during installation and there is no error or failed or another thing, that might be a problem.
Last message in install.log ---------------------------------- Installation finished. No error reported. This is the contents of the device map /mnt/rootfs/boot/grub/device.map. Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect, fix it and re-run the script 'grub-install'. (hd0) /dev/hda Done! ----------------------------------- Grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/hda ---> Could not find device for /boot/boot: Not found or not a block device Strange thing: -------------------------------- df -h --Snip df: '/filesystem.squashfs': No such file or directory --Snip -------------------------------- BIOS-Settings: There is no parameters for LBA-Mode. There could be problems installing grub on the disk. You could try to install grub manually using grub-install --root-directory=/boot.
