You know what they say about opinions... Within the Vyatta community everybody has one, and they all smell good to us. “Mailing lists? That’s so old school!” “Where are the forums?” “Do I have to create another login?” “What’s a wiki?”
We spent a lot of time working considering all of the feedback we have gotten since Vyatta launched its first set of code with nothing but a wiki and some bare bones mailing lists and have come up with... The new Vyatta.org community site. http://www.vyatta.org Vyatta.org is the new community site designed to replace both the Vyatta community wiki and the current Vyatta mailing lists. This site will maintain the same freedom to contribute as its predecessors but allow for some room to grow that the wiki and mailman didn't give us. Over the course of this week these mailing lists will be closing down and we ask that you move new discussions to the Vyatta forums / mailing lists at http://www.vyatta.org/forum. The bad news is that you will be required to create a new login....the good news is that now a single login will work for the site and the forums / mailing lists. FORUMS / MAILING LISTS: The Vyatta.org forums offer the functionality of forums and mailing lists. As a subscriber to the current Vyatta mailing lists, you may prefer the Vyatta mailing list style where you can post / reply via e-mail. If that’s the case you can subscribe to forums and continue to participate the same way you do today, just click on "Forum Subscriptions" on the main forums page, select the forums that you'd like to participate in and click "Subscribe" Otherwise, you are welcome to visit the site and post/search/monitor the forums.
