Ok, I tracked down the Mac problem:
python2.5 ./w3af_gui
results in dependency problems with python-gtksourceview2 ("You have to install
python-gtksourceview2...")
But i have already installed mac ports py25-pygtksourceview, see this package:
http://www.macports.org/ports.php?by=library&substr=py25-pygtksourceview
Any ideas?
Btw. the same for python2.6 and py26-pygtksourceview installed

If you can tell... why were they doing that? Where they using w3af
to scan sites that were in development via hudson, or were they simply
testing how w3af worked? If they want, they can submit their code and

I'm poor and can't afford a Mac ( please donate one (?) ) , could
you please try again and see what's happening? I would love to enhance
the steps needed to install in all platforms!
