Hi list,
I've been working in package w3af for Debian(*). There is 2 packages
now, ready for your testing. You can download them from:
- w3af:
http://people.debian.org/~luciano/unofficial-packages/sid/w3af_0.0.0svn2600-1_all.deb
- w3af-console:
http://people.debian.org/~luciano/unofficial-packages/sid/w3af-console_0.0.0svn2600-1_all.deb

The are based on the commmit 2600 of the svn, not in the beta version.

The main package is "w3af", which includes everything. w3af-console doesn't
have the graphic interface. w3af depends on w3af-console, so you will need to
install w3af-console first and then w3af.

Both packages should work in Debian unstable and testing, and probably in most
of the Ubuntu versions too.

Comments are welcomed. Please, check if you like the descriptions, the
dependencies, the file location, the menu description and all the functionality
(profiles savings and that kind of things), etc.

They will be official packages soon, so you should not have any mercy :).

Cheers, luciano

PD: If you are familiar with .deb packages and you like to see inside them, all
the necessary files are in
http://people.debian.org/~luciano/unofficial-packages/sid/w3af* and
https://w3af.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/w3af/extras/debian/
