The newest (and easiest) access to the beach on the west side of the Narrows
is the county (?) park just south of the bridge. Take the first right,
immediately after crossing the bridge. Drive all the way round and under
the bridge and continue until you are headed west again. Turn left on
Lucille Parkway and in about a quarter mile, on the right, you'll see a road
with a street sign saying "Doc's Drive". Turn right onto this road and
follow it down to the beach. This park gives you access to many miles of
beach, limited only by your willingness to walk and the height of the tide.
