Hi,

I signed up to this board about a month ago and have only been reading the very
interesting posts.

Ebey Lake has been a lake I've always liked fishing. I first fished this lake back in
the mid 70's when one of the locals was trying to lower the beaver dam height with
dynamite.

He did too good of a job and it washed the Hell Creek culvert out where it went under
the logging road. Later after the culvert was replaced and the road rebuilt I had the
pleasure of driving to the lake rather than the two mile hike.

A number of years ago... early 90's I found out the lower road was gated because of
vandalism. Never knew that the gate was moved up. I tried two years in a row to fish
the lake as it's a fun lake for fishing. Those cutts are very aggressive strikers.

It's nice to see that the various WSFFC clubs may attempt to resolve the access issue.
It would be nice to drive up there again.

Back when the road was first gated, I'd called the WDFW and the county police to see
if the gate was legal. Neither organization wanted to press that issue.
