When I was there this weekend there was little problem with the weeds. A
couple of times when I cast to the shallow shorewater I pulled back some
weeds, but only 2 or three times. I did not see weeds over most of the
lake--I never hooked any while trolling the middle which is where I saw all
my action. Not sure what happens later in the spring/summer, though as it
was my first time there. It is in good shape now!

It's been several years since I've been at Squalicum. I quit going there
because in the summer the lake was almost totally covered with weeds to the
surface. Has that changed, or does it still get that way? Ted
