My dad recently purchased a drift boat. We are excited to get on the
water but at the same time we have never navigated a river in a drift
boat and are going to be a bit careful. Can any of you veteran drifters
gives us some general tips? We will probably put it in the Green Rv.
here close to home to just get a feel for it first- Then, we will
probably take a stab at the Yakima. I assume that the canyon is a easy
float and would be a good place to learn to maneuver the boat with out
any treacherous water, but I could be wrong. Is there a stretch on the
Yak that someone can suggest for a couple of rookie oarsmen? Thanks!
