Fished Lake Margaret for about 2-1/2 hours last evening (yep, during
the monsoon!) There were a couple of inflatables on the water when I
got there and some bank fishermen as well. They said the fishing was
slow since the lake hadn't been stocked this year.

Picked up a single small cutthroat with my 3-wt. on a red Carey
Special near one of the inlets on the northeast side. Got a couple
more small hits that got off before I could get 'em landed. I decided
to head back but noticed a couple fish rising nearby. Cast to them
and got a surprisingly solid grab on the third or fourth try.

No further action and it was raining hard, so I finally gave up and
decided to troll while rowing back. No sooner started out when my rod
took a huge dip and the reel started singing. Ended up with a fat 15"
holdover cutt and a smile on my face for the soggy drive home.

>Fished Lake Margaret northeast of Duvall on Thursday evening from 6 to
>8:30pm. Torrential downpour virtually the entire time but had the whole lake
>to myself. Fished were very hungry. Caught between 15 and 20 in the 12 inch

>Fished the opposite end of the lake from the parking lot.
