It is disheartening to hear your report on Amber Lake. I had the best days fishing
there last year and was really looking forward to fishing there again. Hopefully it
improves.
Amber: I have fished Amber for 10 years now and have never seen it as slow
as it is this year. Simply put, people are just not catching fish. I have
talked to many veterans of the lake and we are all scratching our head as to
what is going on. There are fish there but not in the numbers we are used to
seeing. The ones we see, seem to have lockjaw. There have been two days
when the fishing was okay. Opening weekend and then last Sunday. The rest
of the time it has been quiet. I have only been skunked there 3 times in ten
years. I have been skunked twice in the last two days. Hopefully things get
better once it warms up a bit more.
