You can get inexpensive velcro tethers for you fins so they
don't get away if you foot comes out. I like them for the
force fins (thoses don't float either).

Here's another consideration when choosing fins: do they float?
I've heard that some of the graphite ones don't. If you've ever tried
paddling a tube with just your boots on, you'll quickly realize the
importance of this simple attribute.
(I got to a local lake once and realized as I was putting in that I'd
forgotten my fins. Kinda ruined the trip.)
