I've never bothered to check this out myself, but I was told a couple of
years ago that there were browns in the Cowlitz above Riffe Lake, apparently
stockers who swam up from the lake.  If there are any, I would think that
there might also be some in the lower Cispus which runs into the Cowlitz a
few miles above the lake.  More years ago than I wish to count I fished the
lower part of several Cispus tributaries, Niggerhead (now Yellowjacket)
Creek comes to mind, lots of whitefish and a few rainbows to 13 inches.
