Leland,
I seem to have stirred up something more of a stramash than I intended to.
I received an 11' 3" 6-weight from Cabela's for a product review and thought
it was pretty neat. It casts very nicely with a DT6F and I'm looking
forward to trying it on cutts in fresh and salt (and maybe coho in the salt)
this year. I showed it to Frank Amato when I was in Milwaukie for an
editorial meeting a couple of months ago and he was very much taken with it
for the steelhead fishing that he does on the Deschutes. It's quite slow
and soft, as well as very light and is a real pleasure to fish with. At
$149.00 it's a killer bargain. Is this the wave of the future? Is
everybody going to have to learn to Speycast?
