I also have been building my own rods for years and for friends also.I have found
that if you are not in the "business" there are no discounts.(like you could seriously
threaten Sage,T&T, etc.)
Ifen you could get down to the Eugene area there is a BIG barn full of seconds
south of here that is full of blanks. I think they are Loomis and others. But one
could spend several days at this place looking.There are literaly thousands of
blanks.One does have to know what they are doing but the rewards are
vast. Same with "fittings". More if you'd like. Chuck
