My spouse and I fished the St. Joe four days last week thanks to an
earlier report by Mike. We're relatively inexperienced at fly fishing,
so the easily waded pocket water was much better for learning than what
we've managed to find near SW Washington.

We caught a number of small cutts right around the Fly Flat campground,
but I watched a neighboring camper land a gorgeous 12" cutt in the same
area. While most of the campsites were occupied, many weren't fishing
and most of the fishermen drove to other sites. As a result, there was
surprisingly little pressure in the easily accessible water around the
campground. In all, the fishing success (by our standareds) and splendid
location made it our best camping experience in many years.
