Started this morning with a foggy launch from the Don Armeni ramp in West
Seattle. The fog forced me to hug the shore to Alki Point. There bait was
jumping. Something was chasing after them. Using an olive clouser, I
caught a silver and had several follows. Hoping the follows would like
something smaller, I tied on a dropper and promptly caught a SRC on the
dropper. Ensuing casts also produced a flounder and a sculpin on the
clouser.

As the fog lifted, it was time to head for Agate Passage. The tide was
still coming in when I arrived. Fishing a rip near the bridge produced
another resident silver, two more SRC's along with another sculpin (Red
Irish Lord). As soon as the tide went slack, the action stopped. I headed
over to Miller Bay, but nada. As an observation, in the hour I spent in
Agate Passage, I saw about 10 silvers jumping. Some were large, so it looks
like they may be moving in.

Another note, can anyone provide some info about fly fishing in the Sand
Point, ID area? A recent report by Richard Embry about the NF of the Couer
d'Alene was useful (thanx Ricahrd). In particular, has anyone fished the
Priest River or any of its tribs?

Regards,

Mike Santangelo
