I have to agree Mike, the first incarnation was junk. So much so that
I passed on buying one myself. But the one I looked at last night
really did look and feel superior to the Okuma in all respects. The
Supreme isn't the same as I remember from when they first came on the
market. Spool release was nicer too on the Supreme. The only thing
better was the handle on the Okuma with it's imitation wood grain as
opposed to the plastic on the Supreme. I can't say what it would do
under use but just looking at them on the counter top, spinning the
spools and playing with drag I liked the Supreme hands down.
