Bob Young and I were on the water at Colman Pool this morning at 7am with a
minus low slack of -1.9 at 10:40. Considering that the tide was coming down
from 10.7, it oddly never really moved. We fished a bit south of the point
but soon tired of the weeds on our lines and walked up the beach. There
were two young kids buzzbombing just north of the concrete intakes. The one
closest one to us wound in and walked up to help his friend. Bob stepped
into the water and plopped his milk carton into the kids spot, stepped up
and began casting his Fergusan Silver and Green. He hooked a five pound
silver on his third cast. I would have paid to hear what the two boys were
saying as they looked back at Bob and his fish. I wonder what they said to
each other when it came unbuttoned as he was about to land it.

Leland.
