OK Wes, I will give in and cough up the info:
My partner and I ran out to Sandy Point (N. of Bellingham) Sunday, fishing
for the coho returning to the Lummi Tribe hatchery in the Lagoon behind Pt.
Francis.
Pretty slow going. The crab larvae have apparently matured to the point of
dropping down to the bottom as we saw none of the surface action of past
weeks, and the fish are shifting over to candlefish, as we landed a couple
football shaped 16" coho stuffed with same. Also picked up a couple dungies
in a pot we soaked while fishing.
On the way back, my 20+ year old Mariner 115 let me down for the first time.
We hobbled home on the Honda kicker. The inside of the distributor cap
looked like a cherry bomb had gone off in there. Would your believe the
rotor comes attached to a shaft, just that unit costing $300?? Pretty
expensive crab!
Moore later,
Tom

Yeah, I've been pondering that myself. I guess unless some
condition
of secrecy (which is certainly is understandable; hey,
nobody ever said
we had to share all our secrets) has been imposed, I think
it's a
common courtesy to post a little feedback on a
recommendation that's
been made by another list member.
There also seems a lessening of volume on fishing reports in
general -
or is that just my imagination? It could be that there just
isn't much
action right now, though that seems a little unlikely given
that this is
typically prime time for many fisheries. If that's the case
though, I for
one would welcome even "bad fishing" reports. Misery loves
company,
of course, and it's sometimes as helpful to know where not
to go as
where to go.
