Alright, alright, I confess. I've been fishing too and not reporting
it (hangdog look!)
Thought I was rather clever in finding a back road into Lake Fontal
last week only to find found that it's about as fished out as any
other drive-in lake within an hour of Seattle. Caught and released 8
gullable rainbows and brookies on dry flies, none over 9 inches.
Met pair of guys in a rubber raft fishing power bait who complained
the lake wasn't nearly as good as a couple years ago 'before it got
all fished out.' Did see a terrific 'splat' as a much larger fish
inhaled a mayfly as I was changing flies. He was quite shy otherwise
and ignored my best efforts to arrange an introduction.
