Fished for the usual suspects Mon and Tues. Monday I couldn't buy a bite.
Had one SRC hookup and release itself in Miller Bay. The highlite was a
flounder off of Golden Gardens. Yesterday was much better. Brought quite a
few SRC to the boat in Miller Bay. The Pass also fished well for SRC. Nets
are up in a variety of places. One set is just below the flat SW of the
Agate Pass Bridge. People are fishing this location on a catch and release
basis. BUT, on both Sunday and Monday, I saw anglers (gear and fly) take and
kill fish. They left the fish on the beach after being informed the area
was closed to taking salmon. Both anglers gave the excuse "I saw other
people taking and keeping fish this weekend."

However, schools of coho are still swimming around. Hopefully they won't be
netted out by 10/1.

Regards,

Mike
