As Britney Spears would say, "Oops I did it again." I went to the Kalama this
morning and hooked up with two more really nice silvers. First one was 27 inch hen,
and the second was another 32 inch buck. Both bright and really nice.
For the one who asked about the Kalama, I just fish the flyfishing only section that
is marked in the regs as flyfishing only. I use little black nymphs I tie up myself.
I have to admit, I was skunked many a times last year, until I learned how to fish
for these guys. You have to be able to cast 60 ft. consistenly (wade) and roll cast
30 ft if you shore fish. You have to use ultra fast sinking line (type 6), and longer
leaders which makes hinging fun. If anyone has a solution for casting long heavy
sinking line with out hinging please let me know.
