I don't know what good it will do to give a report on a lake that closed
yesterday but here it is anyway. The weather was pretty crummy with wind and
rain/sleet. The wind was from the west as we headed out and of course it
shifted on the way back in. That is always nice, so that we get the maximum
cardiovascular workout. (Sarcasm) We fished from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM and
there were 3 boats and two float tubes on the lake. We caught 10 fish
between the two of us. Sizes ranged from 12" to 18". The hot flies were Red
Carey Specials and Black Ostrich Herl Leeches. A sink tip line made a huge
difference.
I just started fishing this lake about two months ago. I've noticed that the
level fluctuates greatly. I'll be anxious to fish this lake again after it
opens next season. I really like this lake.
