Ray, Triploids (if I am spelling it correctly) are genetically altered fish, usually a rainbow trout, that cannot reproduce. Since it doesn't spend any energy on reproduction, it grows quite large and quite fast. That's a rough explanation of it. Seedless watermelons are also triploids, as I have read. Bill
