Dan it is possible to fish from shore but I wouldn't recommend it. Infect,
to attempt a quality afternoon of fly fishing, and to get away from the
crowds one would need a floatation device. Not to mention the fish are much
more likely
to grab your line when away from the masses. Please don't be discouraged
though, just be aware that many people who fish do not practice ethics or
courtesy and at Hoodsport you will see it all. The fishing can be totally
awesome with 40 fish days not uncommon especially when you figure it out.
Just like trout fishing in lakes, I fish the shallows and find deeper than
average pockets where the fish stack up at low tide and let the fun begin.
