I recently heard about the Chinese Heron farming however, have seen nothing
to prove it's existence. Now, a Silver Pheasant for $200.00? That's roughly
ten-fold the price. You can usually pick up a whole skin for $20-$30 on Ebay.
You also mentioned buying or burning. My personal opinion and experience
here- buy it. Depending on the quality of fly you want to tie, you have
several options to chose from, Blue-eared Pheasant, Ring Neck Pheasant,
marabou, etc... One of my favorites is Artic Fox. The list goes
on............ BTW, the Artic Fox will last a long time as a "hackle" and
the action in the water is unbeatable. If you need some help with tying
